1. How do I handle ZIP files?

A ZIP file is a big file made smaller so it can be downloaded quicker.  If you click on a download link or one with a ZIP file and nothing happens, right click on it with your mouse and choose an option that says “Save as…” or “Save target as…” or words to that effect.

The file will download to your computer. You can decompress it on a Windows machine by   using the Windows Explorer (file manager thingie) or 7-Zip or using StuffIt! on a Mac. These programs will  decompress the files to your computer in a location you choose.

2.  The videos are choppy or don’t play well, what’s wrong?

The internet is a weird place. Its speed is determined by a number of things we can’t control. Here are some suggestions:

  • Make sure the file is playing at the embedded size and not full-screen
  • Reboot your system and see if that makes a difference
  • Close programs that might be running in the background (especially if you are downloading files or running scans)
  • If all your online videos are running slowly, you may need more system RAM

All our videos and downloads are being hosted on Amazon’s Cloud system, not on our server, in order to get the best playing speeds.
